About Leah

Where clinical insight meets the great outdoors.

I’m Leah (Morley) Fitzpatrick, a Registered Nurse (NMC) in Liverpool with over two decades in healthcare, across oncology, elderly care, research and mental health. I built Nature Awareness for the people still working inside it.

The Nature Awareness Consultancy seal: a mountain and rising sun ringed by the words wellbeing, resilience, connection and growth.

Background

A nurse first, and still registered.

I’m a Registered Nurse (NMC) with over two decades of experience across oncology, elderly care, research, and mental health. For ten of those years I worked within mental health nursing, including managing a mental health care home throughout the pandemic, maintaining zero COVID cases, through compassionate leadership, teamwork and a focus on staff wellbeing.

That experience is what pushed me to dedicate my work to helping individuals and organisations manage wellbeing through mindset, mindfulness and holistic health practices.

I did not arrive at staff wellbeing through a certification. I arrived at it by holding a team together through the hardest two years the sector has had, and paying attention to what actually kept us standing.

My mission is to bridge the gap between modern nursing science and ancient natural wisdom. In practice that means four things, and I can explain the physiology of each one:

  • Nature therapy and grounding techniques
  • Mindfulness and meditation for emotional regulation
  • Breathwork for nervous system balance
  • Cold water therapy to build resilience and boost energy

Through Nature Awareness I deliver staff wellness workshops, leadership training and holistic wellbeing programmes aimed at restoring balance, reducing burnout and improving retention in healthcare and corporate settings.

The wider practice

What I run, beyond the workshops.

The team workshops sit inside a wider practice. If you are weighing this up for your organisation, the volume is the point: these are not occasional sessions.

Monthly, no cost

Free Day Retreats

A no-cost day out: guided nature immersion, open-air meditation, breathwork and wild swimming. Child- and dog-friendly by design.

Lake District, North West England
Four hours

5 Bodies Workshops

A deep dive into the five bodies of wellness, closing with a shamanic drum meditation to integrate the session. The same framework I teach to teams.

Leadership training

Wellbeing programmes aimed at managers rather than the whole floor, focused on retention and on the leadership behaviours that reduce burnout in a team.

What people say afterwards.

Still riding the waves of this magical day. Hiking in nature, wild swims, cliff jumps, belly laughs, and the most beautiful energy flowing through the group.

Jenna, Auric.alchemist

I had the best day, still feeling cleansed, purified and ready for a beautiful week.

I had the most amazing day, with amazing people.
